On 2nd & 3rd November, 2010, The Pasadena Convention Center, Pasadena, CA will host the inaugural ‘Aero Engineering USA’ - The Engineering Suppliers & Partners Trade Fair for the Aerospace Supply Chain.
Hosted in the heart of the nation’s most intensive aerospace engineering region, the event mirrors the hugely successful ‘UK’ Aero Engineering show. Show Organizer Ian Stone states “Aero Engineering brings together each layer of the aerospace & aeronautical engineering supply chains – specialist engineering service providers, approved supply groups of parts, structures, sub assemblies & systems into ONE single environment, for business networking & contact development. “Exhibitors on the show floor suppliers showcase , together with attendees from all sides of the supply chain, will enjoy this highly focused & intensive experience”, continues Stone.
Invited attendee groups include aerospace design, development, manufacturing & integration engineering communities covering Civil Aircraft programs (large /regional), Helicopter/Rotary Aviation programs, Military Aviation programs, Unmanned Aviation programs, Business Jet & General Aviation programs, through to Space frame & Launch Vehicle programs. Specific levels include OEM’s/integrators, Tier 1 suppliers, Tiers 2-4+ supply groups, together with technology supply groups, industry bodies, research facilities & academia supporting this sector. The events' purpose is to provide ‘connectivity’ to the diverse cross section of supply groups within the tiers, within the context of a 100% engineering centric supply chain showcase.
Running alongside Aero Engineering USA 2010 is the Global Wind Tunnel Symposium & Suppliers Fair, the industry’s leading global forum for engineering & customer groups involved with & utilizing latest wind tunnel & aerodynamics technologies & services.
Aero Engineering USA 2010 provides a 2-day Exhibition Floor – showcasing up to 200+ leading suppliers & technology/service partners throughout the industry, plus a parallel series of ‘Open Suppliers Forums’ providing continuous ‘on the show floor’ presentations on cutting edge technologies and key strategic suppliers, against the backdrop of latest industry requirements. To aid attendees maximise their time at the event, the organizers have established a series of ‘technology trails’, provided filtered itineraries including relevant exhibit groups & must see technical & supplier presentations.
On the Pasadena location Stone comments, “Pasadena, California provides easy access to a critical mass of primes, Tier 1’s & key supply groups both in the immediate greater LA/Southern California region but also with easy access to other key nationwide aerospace supply chain regions in Washington State, Arizona, Texas, Alabama, Florida, Ohio, N.Carolina, Connecticut, Kansas & others, including further invited attendees from Canada, Mexico plus international supply chain partner groups”. The organizers are additionally inviting attendee groups from the ground transportation industries – including automotive, motorsport & marine, to access latest ‘aerospace’ specialist suppliers, capabilities & partners. Stone adds “ The opportunities for technology transfer from 'high end' aerospace into the ground vehicle sector are considerable & with the huge concentrations of design & development engineering teams already in this region, this provide the perfect intersection opportunity”
